ok! continue. i dont like entries that are too long :(

heres chupsie!

so anyway, we had dinner at outback cos we felt carnivorous. shared a few starters, and a main each. dinner was good, but wasn't the shit. the chicken for lunch, thats the shit. and that'll be what i'll crave for in time to come.

walked for a bit to console ourselves that we might lose some weight after dinner, and chanced upon 'daydream', which pretty much fitted our tastebuds ;)

we likey!

had dessert at the hotel and yada yada im too lazy to say any more.

oooohhhhhhh

while waiting for my flight back to chiang mai today, i had THIS.

this, my friends (perks and nat esp), was the real deal. the sugar was caramelised to perfection, giving it that 'tek' sound as u break into it, and as you scoop out the first sin, what was left after the breaking through of the sugar came ooooozing out in delight. i guess you really can find the best food in thailand.

so after the weekend, im back home in my apartment, sorting out the damage.

doesn't look much huh. but i guess that'll do for... lets see... about 5 hours of shopping all in all?

:) ok. im happy lah. got new clothes.

in the end i really did meet up with chups and danny in bkk, and it was a blast! cos we ate like mad, and we shopped like mad.

so i took a flight first thing saturday morning, and helloo bee kay kay!

after many trips up and down chiang mai (i practically live here, as u must have already noticed), i really wouldnt consider chiang mai's international airport anywhere near our changi's first class airport in the whole of asia, and maybe even the world. just a few stalls of the usual dunkin, dairy queen, pharmacy, yada yada and only a tiny DFS and a black canyon (coffe joint) in transit. but who wldve thought i'd be at a loss of choices in domestic transit! they even had a thai airways restaurant (which i of course patronised in the end), which i went to for breakfast.

so the omelete i ordered didn't come right, they served it with pork in my face so i sent it back, which was a good thing anyway considering i dont fancy eggs that very much. but the croissants, oooo the croissants, came piping hot from the oven, close to perfection. by far, one of the best ive tasted.

so we met a while after ive landed and headed to chatuchak for lunch. the chicken, was the shit. as danny would say. and i would agree without a doubt. dessert was the oh-famous thai coconut ice cream with sticky rice and peanuts. and for a bit of extra weight, you can opt for extra condensed milk or coconut milk. which i would definitely recommend.

no pictures of shopping cos its such a chore to shop and snap pictures. and im sure most of you already know what chatuchak is like anyway.

bkk traffic is a bitch. and did you know that the royal family only drives that pale-ish yellow coloured car? well, i didnt.

i had lunch at the pastry shop at mandarin oriental. one of my favourite places to go cos its never overpopulated, and i can read my book in peace over a nice cup of fruit tea, and on good days, i get to enjoy it with some yummy tea cakes :)

i bought some really nice saa paper too. i saw this shop once in nimmanheamin but the prices were ridiculous. good thing i found this one in baan tawai, so i managed to get them at factory price!

i got some really great buys from nimmanhaemin today! well, actually they werent really great, cos they didnt come very cheap :( but theyre pretty anyways!

i dont usually wear danglies, but the peacocks were gorgeous. and who can resist amie on a chain? i know i cant!

and of course, at the same time, i managed to throw in 2 dresses, 2 tops, a belt and a pair of high-waist berms.

i had plans of flying over to bkk this weekend to meet fala as she had a three-day stopover, but due to some unforseen circumstances, thats not gonna happen. but chups is there anyway, so i was contemplating on whether i should spend that extra full fare (fala was willing to pay for half of my ticket, so that was a no-brainer) for just a day in bkk. in the end, i managed to come up with some brillianceancy, and now, my co is paying for my ticket AND my hotel. and everything else for that matter. except for my shopping lah. so im happy cos i bought stuff today, and i get to get out of chiang mai this weekend.

yey yey yey yey ye y yeyeyeyeyyeyeyeyeyeyeyeyyeyeye yey ey ey yeyeye yeyeyeyeyyeye ye yeyeyeyeye yeye yey yeyeyeye yeyey!!!!!!

oh and starbucks' green tea latte is yuekh :/

i personally think i have much patience compared to many others in my social circle. but the thais aren't virtuous enough to let me live through it.

and no amount of sushi will help me overcome this.

these are the only pictures i have to post. how embarassing.

im here so often that i can safely say im SICK, SICK, SICK of thai food.

sunday lunch.

sunday dinner.

what i really want now is a nice, juicy, fatty, (my vocabulary comes pretty limited at this time) $2 plain double cheeseburger from macdonals. ooo. and a pack of fries.
