i had some extra time today and i needed to take my mind off work a little, so i decided to watch my very first thai movie in a cinema.
no, theyre cinemas are not icky, theyre just like ours in spore, maybe even nicer and with seats that are more comfortable. ive seen this movie poster around for quite some time, so i wouldnt really complain that they were only running 5 shows in the cinemas, cos i was pretty much decided on what to watch.
even though the standing up part (in respect of the king) before the show started kinda made me terperanjat a bit, everything else was pretty much the same, and plus, the movie, 'Sailub' (or in english "Bedside Detective"), was hillarious i tell you. ive never had such a consistent time laughing throughout a show. every single bit of the script was just perfectly witted with sarcasm, and goofy humour. even though the cast could be better looking in terms of thai standards (which is pretty high), they were pleasant enough to look at, and well yah, there were enough booby shots and men dancing on podium scenes.
im not sure if this will ever air in spore on sell on vcd/dvd locally, but for those of you interested to take a sneak, clickety click click below.

said... apart from no salted popcorns, i love bkk cinema to bits, especially the one at paragon. the ushers and the high ceilings make one think that they need to dress up for a show. hmmm...
